CASTLE OF METHONI

Castle The castle of Methoni is one of the most important defensive sets in Greece. It is actually a castle town, as it occupies a big area in the southwest coast of the Peloponnese. The period of prosperity of the castle is located withing the 13th-15th centuries.

The region is an excellent natural harbor, which in medieval times was a station for merchant ships travelling from West to East.
